It's my OC Everett's magic amulet. It heals wounds, which is useful since he's an outlaw knight. Anyway, it was drawn by CalConstantine as part of an art trade. My half is here: fav.me/d3awsaw but I like hers waaaaaaay better!

And while I was at it, I decided to include something from each folder in my favorites, just because I can. I don't get a lot of traffic on my page, so I can't guarantee any comments/faves for these pieces. But I love them, if that's any consolation!

I love this movie far too much. And this scene is probably my favorite in the whole movie--and it's even funnier now that I'm an art nerd!


MYTHS, LEGENDS, AND FAIRY TALES:

I thought this was just too cute! I love how the artist managed to use all those cool colors and patterns so that none would overpower the others.

I love the text in this one and the different fonts used. I like the message, too.

I haven't used this stock image yet, but I thought it was just adorable! It's very good quality, too, and could easily stand as art by itself!

EPIC PHOTOMANIPULATIONS:

I love all the magic-y effects in this one, and also how the artist used the model's hand in the background. I think it would be an awesome book cover!


DIGITAL ART:

I thought this piece was very whimsical...horses and fish ...but the glowy effects were what caught my eye.

LITERATURE:
The Old Woman and the WerewolfHe was able to jimmy the window of the house open without raising too much noise. While the house was old enough to not have any kind of fancy alarm system, it was also old enough to be rather creaky and squeaky. In the right circumstances, that was just as effective as a regular alarm. The fact that he had been able to force an opening as quietly as he had was nothing short of a miracle.
He waited a minute or two before trying to crawl through the open window. He was still partially in his lupine form, and there was no way he was going to fit through that window as bulky as he was. The pain inflicted on him earlier by others of his kind was compounded by the new pain of changing back to a more human appearance. A few broken ribs lit up like fire and he gritted his teeth; bones reshaping and his mass rearranging all the while.
At last, he was small enough to crawl through the window. It was still a tough fit, made harder by the fact that he was trying to keep quiet. His aches and pains
For a writer, I'm pretty lazy about reading stuff on dA. But I couldn't stop reading this short story from The-Ricemaster! It's kind of long, but well worth the time it takes to read it!

I laughed so hard when I saw this! The expression on the unicorn's face is just priceless as he stares longingly at his beloved pepperoni pizza... LOL!
